Design and Delivery of 2 Lagoons each with capacity of 13000 m3

Südzucker Moldova S.A. is the Moldovan branch of the German sugar giant Südzucker AG, a German company, the largest sugar producer in Europe. It is dealing with sugar beet cultivation, harvesting and processing, sugar production and sale.

The client has obtained financing from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for the construction of a plant to produce biogas from the wastes remaining after the processing the sugar beet.

The client is willing to extend the scope of the plant by construction of the facilities to collect the wastes remaining after the processing the sugar beet, process it into the fertilizers and transfer to the agricultural plots where the sugar beet is grown.

Techno Test and Tehno Consulting & Design have developed the design and technological processes needed for the evacuation of the plant residues after the biogas production and their intermediate depositing and subsequent utilization as natural fertilizers in agriculture. During the project TCD provided the following design solutions:

• Design of culvert pipe from the biogas station to the discharge station with a daily flow  of 125m3 and 150m3/h maximum flow;
• Design of 2 lagoons with a storage capacity of fertilizers of over 10,000 m3 each ;
• Design of mixing system for avoiding solid mass stowage;
• Design of the pumping station for discharging lagoons in trucks with a pumping capacity of 130 m3 / h, Head 10 m ;
• Design of power supply network;
• Design of access roads to lagoons and pumping station;
• Design of electrical schemes needed for automatic process of trucks loading;
• Selection of necessary equipment;
